It is an excellent product but I was disappointed with the toenail clippers because I was expecting fingernail clippers. Size of the clippers should be clarified in the marketing.The cuticle cutter scissors was difficult to manage and to cut my cuticle. The files weren't impressive or seemingly high quality as they portray themselves to be. The leather case wasn't pretty either. The nail clipper was average quality in my opinion.These are very nice implements, but the leather colors are much duller than pictured. I bought the burgundy, yellow, and light blue.This is a lovely little giftable box set, handcrafted with absolute excellence in mind. It is a 5 piece set, including a pair of Finox scissors, a short cuticle stick, a file, nail clippers, and a suede case. The finox scissors are self sharpening, and they are fine tuned for perfect use, by a master craftsman, not a child. The cuticle stick sells itself on the first use and is just the right size tip to give you a precision cuticle line! You can clean up the cuticle line, removing all the dead skin, and use that tip to remove any excess polish if it has flooded your eponychium.The clippers are very sharp, and made to last forever. The nail file is not some cheap nail file, it is built/made to last forever. Even the case is made of quality suede leather, for you to store each implement with care.The nail clipper is sharp, but I did have a fracture when I clipped off my thumb nail. I suggest if you have long nails and don't want them to fracture like mine did, to soak your clean nails with some sort of oil first, so that they will bend slightly with cutting tips. That was the only negative for this set for me, but I think any pair of clippers will fracture a dry thick nail if you don't take precaution, so I won't slight the product for that alone. The steel used to make these metal implements comes from Sweden, and is the hardest steel available, which goes to reason, since these are basically guaranteed to work for decades. These are made by a company that cares about the environment, is against child labor, strives for ethical & quality excellence. Although this product IS expensive, you get what you pay for when it comes to nail care products. All come in a gorgeous, pebble grained, leather, roll with leather tie. It is compact enough to slip into your purse or bag so you always have it at hand.These truly are top quality tools. The nail scissors are exquisitely sharp and perfectly aligned. The clippers have curved blades that are also perfectly aligned and very sharp. The glass nail file is double sided and files nails smoothly and with ease. The glass cuticle stick is something I have never seen before. It's a glass cylinder that has a point on one end and a traditional cuticle pusher on the other end. Both ends have a micro abrasive finish like the nail file and they work perfectly to push back and file away excess cuticle tissue for neat, well groomed, nails.The glass implements are thick and sturdy but they are glass and can break so extra care is warranted. However, I will never go back to metal files or emery boards. Glass nail files are far superior and give the smoothest finish to your nails.The stainless steel clipper and scissors have a high carbon content so they will maintain their sharp cutting edges for a very long time.My only minor disappointment is that the clippers are small. They are best suited to fingernails as they aren't really large enough for toenails. (They do offer sets with a larger clipper for toenails, too.) Otherwise, this is a lovely set and a pure pleasure to use.This brand is exceptional, and you do not know what you are missing until you try it. I have always done my own nails at home. 6 years ago my husband bought me a full Germanikure set and my mind was blown! I am now studying to become a nail tech because nails are a total obsession for me.The only problem is that now I literally cannot handle using other tools. Especially the cuticle nippers, there is nothing in this world like Germanikure cuticle nippers. We have also purchased the baby nail trimmers when our son was born, and then we purchased them again for baby shower gifts. OUTTA this world AMAZING.And let's talk about the glass file...other brands cannot compare! I had never tried a glass file before and my husband told me that when he spoke to customer service about recommendations, they told him to include this file because I would figure out what to do with it and it would be a game changer. Well guess what, it was! Especially the round glass file. It does this amazing job of cleaning underneath the nails and tidying up the cuticle areas. I have since tried other brands of glass files, and for some reason, it is simply not the same.In all honesty the nail clippers themselves have never been my favorite, and I don't totally love the case, I ended up switching to a zippered case. But I swear, everything else can change your manicure world!
